Synergism

Spiritually and physically, the sum of two or more things is often something more than the expected consequences of such combinations. For example, neither mathematics nor science could predict that the blending of two gaseous hydrogen atoms with one gaseous oxygen atom result in their instant metamorphosis into a new substance, liquid water.  (Of course, “instant” metamorphosis is viewing time from the human level.)

Alone, oxygen supports combustion and hydrogen burns freely.  While water will extinguish fire, no analysis of water would suggest this power. Correspondingly, no physical analysis can predict what a person can do either.

In the same way that hydrogen and oxygen can combine to produce a remarkable result far exceeding their individual potentials, mortal man with his spirit nucleus (the Thought Adjuster) can accomplish something even more phenomenal.  Like a caterpillar’s metamorphosis into a butterfly, man can metamorphose into a god. For man, however, the consequences depend upon man’s choosing.  The deities are humbly obedient to the volition of each individual.

Perception

Man’s perception constructs whatever his mind desires to see.  In this fact lies salvation or damnation as each person elects.  True perception requires forgiveness and love.

Inverted Perception

Most mortals on the physical globe of Earth perceive values upside down.  Their thoughts are the opposite of truth. This orientation towards matter rather than spirit is very destabilizing for man.

Profit Motive

The profit motive of economics is contemptible in an advanced order of society.  Nevertheless, the profit motive is indispensable until men enjoy superior types of nonprofit motives for economic striving and social serving.  The nonprofit motives are the uplifting urges of exceptional wisdom, enthralling brotherhood, and high spiritual attainment.

Sharing

Values (qualities) are life giving. In mortals, values comprise human reactions, attitudes, and all types of wisdom, all problems, difficulties and limitations.  When shared these values become constructive in the group sense and cease to be destructive.

The ascendant plan of mortal progression embraces the custom of sharing new truths and experiences with other beings just as soon as acquired. Seekers serve as teachers to those pupils just behind them.

Man must give what he values to retain it in his individual mind.

Time

Time is a component of the evidence used to formulate the final judgment of ascenders. Testimony must show that every defendant had ample time to make decisions and achieve his choices.

Seekers on the mansion worlds learn the advantageous use of time both in its positive employment (work), and in its negative utilization (rest). Both uses of time are important.

Trust

Trust is the crucial test of will creatures. Trustworthiness is the measure of self-mastery.  The governing authorities know the exact level of trustworthiness of any candidate at all times.

Service

The goal of time and the destination of space is continually more difficult and adventurous service.  Purposeful service provides great satisfaction and dignity. After the service in time, there follows the super service of eternity.

Greatness

The measure of greatness for a mortal is the quality of unselfishness revealed in his unassuming labor for the welfare of his earthly fellows, particularly worthy beings in need and in distress. The manifestation of greatness on a world like Earth is the exhibition of self-control.

Ethics

Ethical awareness is the recognition by any individual of the rights inherent in the existence of any and all other individuals.  As the inward-ascending career unfolds, ascenders continue to add group after group to their ever-widening circle of universe associates. Every new group of colleagues met adds another level of ethics.

Medical Cures

All material techniques used as cures for ailments of the body are merely efforts to control misunderstood events through charms and spells.  Grasping this fact is the first step in realizing that the body makes many of its own illnesses.

Illness

Injury accidents may happen, but many illnesses are elective.

The mind that plans for itself thinks it will lack care unless it makes its own provisions. Sickness is a decision. It is a choice made when a person’s world appears to be collapsing. The rationale is, if one is weak and suffering, perhaps the truth will be less threatening.  While the defense of illness is intentional, it appears to be unconscious because of the rapidity of the decision.

The body does not need defending.  It is simply a serviceable instrument through which the mind can operate.

A healthy mind does not plan. Rather, it carries out the plans that it receives through listening to personal revelation. It waits until it discovers what to do, and then proceeds to do it.

Enslavement of the body to the plans the unhealed mind establishes to save itself makes the body sick.

Self-initiated plans are but defenses.  They are the means a frightened mind undertakes for its own protection, at the cost of truth.

The mind engaged in planning for itself occupies itself in setting up control of future happenings.

Defenses are plans to select what you approve, and disregard what you consider incompatible with your beliefs of your reality.

What could you not accept, if you but knew that everything that happens, all events, past, present and to come, are gently planned by One Whose only purpose is your good?

Planning for Illness

A healthy mind does not plan. It awaits the teaching of what to do, and then does it.

Enslavement of the body to the plans the unhealed mind establishes makes the body sick.

Self-initiated plans are but defenses.  They are the means a frightened mind undertakes for its own protection, at the cost of truth.

The mind engaged in planning for itself occupies itself setting up control of future happenings. It thinks it must make its own provisions.

Defenses are plans to select what the individual approves, and disregards anything incompatible with his beliefs of reality.

What could a mortal not accept, if he or she knew that their Thought Adjuster plans everything that happens (all events, past, present and to come) for that person's own good?

Sickness is a defense against the truth.  Sickness is not an accident. Like all defenses, it is an insane device for self-deception.

Defenses are intentional.  They made with awareness. They seem to be unconscious because of the rapidity with which you choose to use them.

Sickness is a decision. It is not a thing that happens unsought. It is a personal choice made when their world appears ready to totter and fall. Once sick, the truth may go away and no longer threaten their establishments.

Life Purpose

What mortal could not accept his life purpose, if he knew that everything that happens (all events, past, present and to come) his Thought Adjuster planned?  A healthy mind carries out the plans it acquires by listening to personal revelation.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the Creative Daughter who is the communication link between the Mind of Christ and the separated human mind.  She sees man's illusions.  She leads man to the truth and reminds man of his forgotten Identity.

Revelation

Personal revelation is communication between God and His creatures.  It involves an extremely personal sense of creation such as that realized in human physical relationships. Personal revelation induces a temporary suspension of doubt and fear.

Revelation is experience.  It unites individuals directly with God. Any attempt to describe the revelation of experience in words is impossible.  It is an experience of inexpressible love.

Reverence Not Worship

Awe is an inappropriate reaction to the Christ.  As an elder brother, Christ is entitled to respect for his greater experience, and obedience for his greater wisdom. He is entitled to love because he is a brother. Christ Michael has nothing that does not come from God. What Christ Michael has is potential in man.

In his incarnation as Jesus of Nazareth, Michael said, "No man cometh unto the Father but by me."  Without Christ Michael, the distance between the Universal Father and man would be too great to encompass. Michael bridges the distance as an elder brother and as a Son of God.

Michael inspires revelations because he is close to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit (the Creative Daughter) mediates higher to lower communication, keeping the direct channel from God to man open for revelation.

Miracles

A miracle suggests to the mind that what it sees is false. With the approval of the individual mind, it undoes an error.

The miracle shifts man’s perception from the ego’s upside down world of sin, guilt, and fear, to the Holy Spirit’s world of forgiveness within the brotherhood of Christ.  The miracle should not to be confused with the traditional understanding of miracles as changes in external phenomena.

Miracles Shorten Time

The miracle minimizes the need for time. On the horizontal plane, man’s recognition of the equality of the members of the Sonship and brotherhood appears to require endless time. The miracle entails a shift from horizontal to vertical perception. This shift in perception introduces an interval from which the giver of a miracle and the receiver both emerge farther along in time than they would otherwise have been. The miracle substitutes for learning experiences that might have taken thousands of years.

Purpose of Life

Salvation is the only purpose of life on Earth. The acceptance of salvation as the only necessary function entails two phases, recognition of salvation as the single function of life, and relinquishment of all the other goals.

Salvation and forgiveness are synonymous. Salvation reflects truth, which enables mortals to escape illusions. The mind that sees illusions thinks they are real. They have existence because they are thoughts. However, they are not real because the mind that thinks these thoughts is separate from God.

Salvation reverses the absurd belief in separate thoughts and separate bodies, which lead separate lives and go their separate ways.

Ego

The ego is the false self, made by each man as a substitute for the Self (the Thought Adjuster), the fragment of the Father.  The ego is that part of the mind that believes it is separate from the Mind of Christ.  The term “ego” should not to be confused with the word used in psychoanalysis.

Grievances

Every mortal maintains a grievance of some sort since judgments are grievances.

A person who holds grievances is attacking love, and therefore attacking his Self (the Thought Adjuster). Those who forgive grievances find peace.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is the miracle or vision of Christ that sees all people united in the sonship of God and the brotherhood of man.  Forgiveness looks beyond the ostensible differences that materialize as separation in the relationships of man.  Since man is responsible for his own life script, what man thinks he does to others, he actually does to himself.

The ego thinks the change of mind necessary for salvation is demanded of everyone else.

One Problem

The world seems to present humans with a vast number of problems, each requiring a different answer. The problems seem to be on so many levels, in such varying forms and with such varied content, that no one could solve all the problems the world appears to hold. This perception makes failure inevitable.

All the complexity disguises the single problem.  The only problem is separation, no matter what form it takes. The only solution is forgiveness and the peace it brings.

Mortals are one Self (the Thought Adjuster), in perfect harmony with all there is, and all that there will be. Each mortal is a holy Son of God, united in the brotherhood of that Self and in the Will of the Father.

One Life

There is no separation in the planetary life of mortals and the other forms on the planet. Every form, every organism is intimately related through the planetary soul.  Plants, dogs, and people share the vast circulatory Life as it streams through the mass of forms that, in their totality, constitute our planet.

The only differences that exist in forms are those of consciousness.

Truth or Illusion

Knowledge and things are either true (reality) or false (illusion).  There is no compromise.  This principle explains why there are no degrees of difficulty in miracles.   Healing a man requires only a shift from the illusions of the ego to the truth of the Holy Spirit.

Illusion maintains it is a sacrifice to give up the things of this world.  External things such as power, fame, money, and physical pleasure are meaningful only to the body.  Mortals are free to choose what they believe.  What humans do attests to what they believe, but God’s will is all there is.

Peace of Mind

Peace cannot come where there is anger.  Forgiveness heals the angry mind.  Forgiveness is essential to find the peace of God.

Judgment

To judge correctly, man would have to be aware of an inconceivably wide range of things, past, present, and future.  Wisdom is the relinquishment of judgment.  Without judgment, all men are brothers.  Only love is reality.  Every loving thought is true.

Values of Time

The folly of this life is investing in the values of time.  Spiritual values are the will of the Father.  They are not time related.

The world mortals see has nothing to do with reality. Nothing that God did not create exists.  It is illusion.

Worldly thoughts appear as images.  Humans do not realize they are illusions rather than vision (truth).

Neutral Thoughts

Everything mortals see is the result of their thoughts. Thoughts are not grand or idle. They are simply true or false. Every human thought contributes to truth or to illusion.  Either it extends the truth or it multiplies illusions. Since thoughts are never idle, every thought brings love or fear, peace or war.  A neutral result is impossible because neutral thought is impossible. While fear thoughts are unreal, they are destructive in terms of salvation.

Neutral Things

Since humans have no neutral thoughts, they can see no neutral things.  Thought always comes first, despite the inclination to believe otherwise. If this were not true, human perception would be the cause of reality rather than the effect.

The Effects of Thoughts

Humans will notice that sometimes ideas related to thinking precede perceiving.  At other times, the order reverses. The order does not matter. Thinking and its results are simultaneous.  Cause and effect are joined.

All minds are joined. Initially, mortals may resent this concept considering it as an invasion of their privacy.  There are no private thoughts.  This must be true to make salvation possible, and salvation must be possible because it is the Will of God.

Vision

Mortals cannot enjoy the vision of truth if they regard themselves as being forced.

The volitional decision to see truth is all that vision requires. What mortals desire and God wills IS.  This is the law of cause and effect.

Changing the World

Even though humans see a world they have made, they do not see themselves as the creators of the images they see. Mortals perceive the world as ego goals. Such goals have nothing to do with the best interests of mortals.  Real vision does not depend on the body's eyes, built of matter fragments of the Unqualified Absolute. The mind is the only source of real vision.

Therefore, any human attempt to change the world is pointless. Only by changing human thoughts about the world can the world change. This changes the cause. The effect changes without human intervention.

Holy instant

The holy instant occurs outside time when man chooses forgiveness instead of grievances.  The holy instant opens the present (the only time there is) into eternity.  Holding on to the past and fearing the future keeps man in hell.

Holiness

Holiness reverses all the laws of the world. It is beyond every restriction of time, space, distance and limits of any kind. The holiness of each human is unlimited in power because it establishes the individual as a Son of God, at one with the Mind of the Creator.

The thoughts of each human are in the Mind of God. God’s thoughts are in each human mind as well, where He (the Thought Adjuster) is.

Love and Forgiveness

In this world mortals place their faith in the most trivial symbols; pills, money, clothing, influence, endless forms of nothingness endowed with illusory powers.  The world wants to replace the Love of God.  Cherishing these things ensures body (ego) identification.

Forgiveness is the great need of this world.  Fear condemns.  Love forgives. Forgiveness undoes fear, returning the mind to the awareness of God. Forgiveness is salvation. It makes illusions disappear.

Worship

Worship reflects the ascendant creature’s joy of existence. The act of worship becomes increasingly blissful for each individual until it attains the most exquisite pleasure ever known.

On Paradise, conductors of worship teach ascendant creatures new techniques of worship. Without such enhancements, it would require hundreds of years for the average mortal to give satisfactory expression to his emotions.

Self Defense

The "self" that needs protection is not real. The body, valueless and hardly worth the least defense, need merely be perceived as quite apart from you, and it becomes a healthy, serviceable instrument through which the mind can operate until its usefulness is over.

Grievances

Grievances are alien to love. If man holds grievances, he is attacking love, and therefore attacking his Self.

Handling Altercations

In his travels, Jesus sometimes chanced upon some form of fracas.  Jesus always intervened by restraining the aggressor verbally or physically as appropriate.

On one occasion when Jesus observed a bully attacking a smaller lad, he rushed to protect the assaulted youth.  Jesus held the offender until the smaller lad made his escape. The moment Jesus released the bully; Jesus’ companion began hitting the bully.  Jesus quickly restrained his companion and permitted the original aggressor to escape.

Jesus’ companion complained that he did not understand Jesus’ actions. If mercy requires rescuing the smaller lad, does not justice demand punishment of the larger offending youth?

Jesus explained it was the duty of an individual to show mercy.  He (Jesus) was obliged to go to the rescue of the assaulted lad and to use sufficient force to restrain his attacker.  Once he rescued the assaulted lad, his ministry of mercy ended. Jesus had no right to sit in judgment on the aggressor.  He could not adjudicate all that entered into the aggressor’s attack upon his fellow and then impose a punishment that he determined appropriate for any wrongdoing.

Jesus made clear that no two persons are likely to agree to a punishment that would satisfy justice. One person might impose forty lashes, another twenty, while still another would advise solitary confinement. On this world, chosen representatives of society are best suited to administer punishment. In the cosmos, judgment vests in those who are aware of the antecedents of wrongdoing as well as its motivation.

Rules of Social Conduct

Do not strike another human even though he may physically attack you.

If someone attacks another human, restrain the attacker without striking him.  In Brotherhood, to attack another is to attack one’s own real Self, the Thought Adjuster.

It is more grievous to attack another human verbally than attacking the physical body since it does injury to the higher emotional and mind levels.

Energy Evolution

In the process of energy evolution in the cosmos, matter is the shadow cast by mind using the light of divine thought.  Though but a shadow of spiritual divinity, the illusory quality of matter-energy does not invalidate its reality.  Matter, mind, and spirit are equally real, but they do not have equal value for mortals in the evolutionary achievement of divinity.  The survival of mortal creatures depends totally upon the development of an immortal soul within the human mind.

Individual Evolution

The mansion worlds beyond this world continue the seeker's test of time.  Uncertainty and the temptation to doubt will continue as he struggles to achieve the Father’s injunction to be perfect.  The ascendant career requires the seeker to master all challenges step-by-step, life-by-life, and world-by-world.

There are specific requirements on each level of the ascension.  The courses for successful achievement are quantitative, qualitative, and experiential (that is, intellectual, spiritual, and supreme).  (The Supreme Being is the God of evolution through experience.)

Divine Oversight

Reflectivity integrates all phases of existence found in creation. Universe reflectivity unites the lanes of spirit energy, physical energy, and mind energy.  This phenomenon enables the universe rulers to know and view remote conditions as they occur.

Universe rulers at all levels monitor and control the quantitative and qualitative status of all forms of force-energy including the energy presence of time itself.

Creator Son and Creative Daughter

The Creator Son of this local universe possesses all of the divine attributes and powers that the Eternal Son of the Paradise Trinity would manifest if He were present and functioning in this local universe.

The Creator Son (Christ Michael) also embodies the personality presence of the Universal Father in this local universe. These Trinity relationships make a Creator Son the most powerful, flexible, and significant divinity capable of managing evolutionary universes and immature creature beings.

The Creative Daughter is the essence of the Infinite Spirit.  In physical creation, the Creator Son provides the pattern.  The Creative Daughter transforms the energy patterns into physical substances.

Christ Michael lived seven descending bestowal lives in the local universe, which he and the Creative Daughter created.  When he returned to his headquarters world from his seventh and final bestowal, which occurred on Earth, he qualified as a Master Son.  As a Master Son, Michael acquired jurisdiction over "all power in heaven and on earth.”  (A rebellion such as that instigated by Lucifer could not occur in a local universe ruled by a Master Son.)

Upon the completion of a Creator Son's seventh and final bestowal, the Creative Daughter was elevated to the status of Divine Minister.

The Divine Minister and the Master Son regard all the creatures of the realm as their sons and daughters.

Risks in Ascender Assignments

On going to a young world, the newly appointed planetary prince usually takes a group of volunteer ascendant mortal beings. These ascenders accompany the prince as advisers and helpers in the work of primitive race improvement. (The prince and his staff arrive after the Life Carriers have evolved the first human races.)  This corps of material assistants provides the visible link between the invisible prince and the mortals of the world. Caligastia, the first planetary prince of Earth, had a corps of one hundred such helpers.

Caligastia chose his one hundred helpers from over 785,000 ascendant citizens who volunteered for the Earth adventure. Each one of the chosen one hundred was from a different planet.  None of them was from Earth.

The one hundred volunteers (fifty men and fifty women) had not yet fused with their Thought Adjusters.  Their Adjusters do not accompany volunteers when accepted for service on Earth due to the alliance with their eminent commanders.

The one hundred reconstituted on Earth as superhuman material beings. Had they not lost contact with the life circuits through rebellion, they would have lived on indefinitely until released to resume their journey to Paradise.

As graduates of the mansion world schools, the super humans understood the necessity for a smoothly paced evolution for primitive humans.  Still, some supported an en masse evolutionary uplifting as proposed by Lucifer.

Caligastia had been in charge of Earth for three hundred thousand years when Satan, Lucifer's assistant, visited Earth on one of his periodic inspection calls. Satan persuaded Caligastia to join Lucifer and himself in a rebellion against Michael, the local universe creator.

Sixty of the one hundred superhuman volunteers elected to follow Caligastia in the insurrection. There was also a severe loss of personalities amongst the seraphim, cherubim, and others of the prince’s staff.  The forty ascendant survivors who remained true to their trust resumed their ascension to Paradise.

All mortal ascenders receive a temporary assignment on a planet passing through the earlier stages of evolution.

Verities

All of the pain experienced on this little planet is temporary.  The current cycle of civilization on Earth is concluding.

A general decay has begun in all fields of human expression. Worn-out religious dogmas no longer suffice to hold the allegiance of thinking people.  Old political schools of thought are unsatisfactory.  Educational systems are failing.  Everywhere, the better human minds clamor for change to higher standards in religious, political, educational and economic life.

Such changes are coming.  Much of humanity will regard the changes as dreadful.  Still, this level of the world’s civilization has to pass away. Only the relinquishment of materialistic goals and selfishness will allow the world to progress into the light of the true gospel of Jesus and the kingdom of God.

Within the kingdom of God, all mortals become better citizens of the secular government.  Conversely, rulers of earthly governments become better managers and statesmen. In addition, the attitude of honest citizenship and sincere devotion to one's temporal duties will make each mortal more reachable to the spirit’s call to brotherhood.

As long as the ruling personalities of earthly governments and religions act as oppressors, citizens who accept their ideas may expect strife, persecution, and death. The true gospel of Jesus will eventually result in the complete separation of politics and religion throughout the world. The teachings of the true gospel will some day bring unbelievable liberation, intellectual freedom, and religious liberty to all nations.

All things are possible to those who have faith.  As a mortal son of God, all honest work is sacred. Nothing a son of God does can be ordinary. If mortals do their work as if for God, life on this planet will become immeasurably better.   After mortal life on Earth is finished, Christ has other and better worlds where mortals will continue to work for him.
